Tooling Technician (Tool Ready)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may be assigned)
- Inspect, clean, and repair tooling to ensure readiness prior to production.
- Disassemble tooling after use, thoroughly clean, properly label, and store in designated areas.
- Safely operate shop equipment to fabricate or modify components required for tooling preparation.
- Document and log tooling issues, defects, and future repair needs for tracking and follow-up.
- Lift and transport heavy production tools and dies manually or with appropriate equipment.
- Complete tooling inspection reports prior to releasing tools for production use.
- Apply sound judgment while adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards to support quality production.
- Review upcoming production schedules to ensure all required tooling is prepared and ready for installation.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
- Train employees on proper care and safe use of PPE and tooling equipment as needed.
- Foster strong working relationships with machine operators, maintenance personnel, and management to effectively resolve issues.

Monday-Thursday 5 am to 3:30 pm
