We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming shipments, verifying deliveries, and ensuring accurate stock levels. This role requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Receiving Associate plays a vital part in maintaining smooth warehouse operations, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring inventory accuracy for e-commerce and distribution channels.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems like AS400 and MRP software
- Safely operate equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload goods
- Accurately stock received items in designated storage locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization
- Assist with order picking, packing, and loading for outbound shipments using RF scanners and order fulfillment procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry in warehouse management systems
- Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for shipment and coordinating with carriers
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and packaging requirements
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all handling activities to prevent accidents or damage
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution centers preferred
- Proficiency with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, RF scanners, and MRP software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment safely
- Basic understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes including picking & packing and order fulfillment workflows
- Reliable team player with good communication skills and a safety-conscious attitude
