We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling electrical components and systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and supporting the production of high-quality electronic products. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical wiring, schematic reading, and surface mount technology, with an emphasis on precision and safety.
Duties
- Assemble electronic components using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques.
- Interpret and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, and IPC 610 standards to ensure proper assembly.
- Solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) with precision, utilizing hand tools and soldering equipment.
- Use calipers, ohmmeters, and other measurement tools to verify component placement and electrical continuity.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and connect electrical wiring according to specifications.
- Operate power tools and machining equipment safely to assist in mechanical assembly processes.
- Conduct inspections of assembled units for quality compliance, ensuring adherence to IPC 610 standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot assembly issues and suggest improvements.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or electronic assembly environments.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering techniques, and surface mount technology (SMT).
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as calipers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and power tools.
- Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies is highly desirable.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting with ohmmeters and other testing equipment preferred.
